How:

The Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary receives NO government funding.

The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Foundation was incorporated in the 1930's as a charitable organization in both the U.S. and Canada. Contributions and bequests are exempt from income and inheritance taxation in both countries. Three funds make this possible:

Operational Fund (Applied to Day-to-Day operation).
Endowment Fund (The principal guarantees the future of the Sanctuary).
Land Acquisition Fund (A Great memorial to a loved one).
